Christian Eriksen (Ajax)

Christian Eriksen (born 14 February 1992) is an attacking midfielder playing for Dutch powerhouse Ajax. Breaking through to the Ajax first team during 2010, Eriksen dazzled fans with his technical skills and pace. Arsenal quickly became interested in him, but any talks fell through with Ajax unwilling to sell the talented youngster just yet, along with Eriksen wanting to stay and keep improving. He signed a new contract with Ajax, tying him to the club until 2014. Due to his performances during the season, he earned a place in the Denmark squad for the FIFA World Cup 2010, making him the youngest player in the tournament. Eriksen played 2 games as a substitute at the 2010 World Cup, impressing with some good paces, and should become a constant presence for Denmark in the near future.
