Eduardo Salvio (Atlético Madrid/Benfica)

- Full Name: Eduardo Antonio Salvio
- Date of Birth/Age: 13 May 1990/Age 20
- Place of Birth: Avellaneda, Argentina
- Main Position: Striker
- Description: Eduardo Salvio had been followed by top clubs for years before finally agreeing to a contract with Atlético with a €10 million transfer fee. He began playing for Argentina’s Lanus in 2008 and quickly broke through to the first team, scoring 9 goals during his first season. For Atlético, he has already scored 2 goals in a match against Tenerife and even made an appearance as a substitute in the Europa League Final. With Sergio Agüero’s future at Atlético uncertain, they already seem to have bought a great replacement, though a combination of Agüero, Diego Forlán and Salvio could be very exciting to watch in the future. However the striker has been loaned out to Benfica for the 2010-2011 season, in order to receive more first team experience. Salvio has also made 2 appearances for Argentina’s national team and while not selected for the 2010 World Cup, he looks to be yet another great future offensive addition to the team’s world class front line.
