- Place of Birth: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

- Description: Looking to be another one of Arsenal’s young gems, Wellington Silva has been impressive for years while playing for Fluminense’s youth teams. His great pace and dribbling ability caught the eye of Arsene Wenger who signed him to a contract in 2009. Due to Brazilian players not being able to play in Europe until they turn 18, Silva has been loaned back to Fluminense until January of 2011. He has made 14 appearances for the club so far, scoring a goal and had some impressive performances, however Silva has slowly fallen down the pecking order, especially since a new coach arrived. During the summer of 2010, the youngster went to Arsenal to train, and the club may keep him until the January transfer window, at what time Silva will officially transfer. Silva has also played for the Brazilian Under-17 side, scoring 5 goals in 11 matches and is looking to be great striker for the future.
