Description:
One of the best young Greek defenders, Papadopoulos has been turning heads for years, ever since he became the youngest player to play in the Greek league, at just 15 years 283 days old in 2007. A strong player with good tackling and marking abilities, he has all the potential to be a world class centre back. Papadopoulous only played 8 games for former club Olympiakos, but kept improving and had standout games at the Greek youth national team level. These performances led to Schalke buying the talented defender on a 4 years deal in June of 2010, and he has continued to impress. A great performance at Euro 2012 could move the talented Greek to the top of any transfer list.
