- Winner: Netherlands
- Why: This is the toughest call to make as both teams have been playing great as of late. The Netherlands however have been improving with every game in this tournament, especially on the defensive end (though they still seemed a little relaxed when taking the lead), and the final will be the perfect opportunity for them to fully show their talent. Sneijder and Robben still seem too much for any one team to handle, and if Kuyt and van Persie contribute, the Netherlands should come out on top. However the X-factor for Spain could be Fernando Torres. The Dutch defense should mostly focus on top scorer David Villa, so Torres will have his chances, and if he has a great performance, Spain will have the scales tipped in their favor.
Third-Place Game:
Germany vs Uruguay ![]()
- Winner: Germany
- Why: Thomas Müller will be back so Germany should return to better form and really go after Uruguay. Miroslav Klose will look to score 2 more goals, so he can become the top scorer in World Cup history, so look for this to be an exciting game, as both teams will also look to avenge previous losses. Uruguay of course shouldn’t be underestimated, as Luis Suárez and Jorge Fucile returning from suspensions will surely help out a lot. Germany however is more of a balanced team overall, and should come out winners of a third-placed game for the second time in a row.
