- Description: Lyon has a reputation for developing young players, with the likes of Essien, Malouda and Benzema coming through the club over the years. Young striker Yannis Tafer has all of the talent to become Lyon’s next breakout star. Winner of the Golden Shoe (4 goals) at the 2008 UEFA European Under-17 Football Championship while playing for France, Taffer possesses the pace and finishing ability to become a top striker. He went on loan to Toulouse for the 2010-2011 season to gain more first team experience and could certainly have a breakout year. Tafer has represented the French national team on various youth levels, and could receive a senior squad call-up in the next few years, however he also has the choice to play for the Algerian national team.
