The article is a little controversial but it has nothing to do with bias against Manchester United.
Refereeing seems to be always to blame for losses, but both teams have profited and been angered by different decisions, so I think overall it evens out.
As for the youngsters, well sure Manchester United have some great players coming up (a few have been featured here), but Arsenal always has the best and it doesn’t necessarily win you trophies. Added with the fact that Arsenal is still acting on the transfer market as well, and their youngsters are more experienced, is why we put Arsenal ahead.
As for Chelsea, they are the champions, have great youngsters themselves, and look like they are starting to gel well. Its a tough call, but champions are favorites unless they start to slide. The community shield game is just that, one game, and a preseason one at that, at hasn’t proven anything about Chelsea or United. If for example, United are at the top or near when a quarter of the season has passed, we will update these rankings, but right now Chelsea are first.
As for why we put Manchester City ahead, they did spend a lot on great players, making that squad arguably look like the best in the Premiership on paper. It was a controversial decision, and I’m not saying United are in any way a worse team, but City have the potential to surprise a lot of people, and have some great depth as well.
