Here is a look at and projection of the Valencia side for the 2010-2011 season:

Players In: Mehmet Topal (defensive midfielder, €5 million), Ricardo Costa (centre back, free transfer), Sofiane Feghouli (attacking midfielder, free transfer), Roberto Soldado (striker, €10 million), Tino Costa (central midfielder, €6.5 million), Aritz Aduriz (striker, €4.5 million), Marius Stankevičius (right back, loan)
Players Out: David Villa (striker, €40 million), Rubén Baraja (central midfielder, end of contract), Nikola Žigić (striker, €7 million), David Silva (left winger, €33 million), Carlos Marchena (centre back, €2.5 million), David Lombán (centre back, free transfer), Alexis (centre back, €5 million), Hugo Viana (central midfielder, free transfer), and those out on loan

Strengths: Wingers, with Juan Mata, Jordi Alba, Joaquín and Vicente, Valencia have some of the most quality wingers in La Liga. Their strikers are also good with Roberto Soldado, Aritz Aduriz, Alejandro Domínguez and talented youngster Isco making up the core.
Weaknesses: Attacking Midfielders, Valencia only have Sofiane Feghouli and to some extent Alejandro Domínguez to use in that area. They do have youngsters and other players to fill in, however their inexperience could be a factor.

Projected Place: 4th

Overall: While David Villa and David Silva left, Valencia brought in a lot of talent, and still has a good team, the only concern being how long it will take for everyone to mesh together. However they will still be a tough team to beat and should challenge for the top places in La Liga.
