Players Out: Mesut Özil (attacking midfielder, €18 million), reserve team player, player out on loan

Strengths: Strikers, with Claudio Pizarro, Hugo Almeida, Markus Rosenberg and youngster Marko Arnautović among others, Werder Bremen have a great front line. Their centre backs are also good, with Per Mertesacker, Naldo, Sebastian Prödl, Petri Pasanen and Mikaël Silvestre making up the core.

Weaknesses: Right Backs, Werder Bremen only really have Clemens Fritz to cover there. Petri Pasanen can also fill in, but the team could use another natural right back.

Projected Place: 4th

Overall: Werder Bremen have a good team and should challenge for one of the top places in the Bundesliga.
