Here is a look at and projection of the Bayer Leverkusen side for the 2010-2011 season:
Players In: Michael Ballack (central midfielder, free transfer), Domagoj Vida (centre back, €2.4 million), Sidney Sam (left winger, €2.5 million), Hanno Balitsch (defensive midfielder, free transfer), Zvonko Pamić (central midfielder, €450,000)
Players Out: None except those out on loan
Strengths: Centre Backs, with Sami Hyypiä, Manuel Friedrich, Stefan Reinartz, Domagoj Vida and Lukas Sinkiewicz, Bayer Leverkusen have a very strong defensive line. Their strikers are also good, with Eren Derdiyok, Stefan Kießling and Patrick Helmes making up the core.
Weaknesses: Left backs, Bayer Leverkusen only really have Michal Kadlec to cover there, and could use another natural left back to help out.
Projected Place: 5th
Overall: Bayer Leverkusen have a good team, and if they play to their potential, the squad can surely move up a few places in the rankings.
