Here is a look at and projection of the Borussia Dortmund side for the 2010-2011 season:
Players In: Robert Lewandowski (striker, €4.5 million), Mitchell Langerak (goalkeeper, €500,000), Łukasz Piszczek (right winger, free transfer), Shinji Kagawa (attacking midfielder, €350,000)
Players Out: Tinga (central midfielder, free transfer), Uwe Hünemeier (centre back, €100,000), Marc Ziegler (goalkeeper, €300,000), Marcel Höttecke (goalkeeper, free transfer), Nelson Valdez (striker, €4 million), and player out on loan
Strengths: Strikers, with Robert Lewandowski, Mohamed Zidan, Dimitar Rangelov, Kevin Großkreutz, Lucas Barrios, Marco Stiepermann and Damien Le Tallec among others, Borussia Dortmund have one of the best and deepest offensive lines in the Bundesliga. Their attacking midfielders are also great, with Tamás Hajnal, Markus Feulner, Shinji Kagawa and talented youngster Mario Götze making up the core.
Weaknesses: Centre Backs, Borussia Dortmund do have great centre backs in Neven Subotić, Felipe Santana and Mats Hummels, but could use another player to cover. The team does have youngsters to fill in, however their inexperience could be a factor.
Projected Place: 3rd
Overall: The ranking might be a little high, but Borussia Dortmund have a very good young team, and can certainly achieve it.
