Here is a look at and projection of the 2009-2010 Serie A and Champions League winners:

Players In: Luca Castellazzi (goalkeeper, free transfer), full ownership of Jonathan Biabiany (right winger) and McDonald Mariga (central midfielder) for €9.5 million, reserve and academy team players

Players Out: Luis Jiménez (right winger, €3 million), Ricardo Quaresma (right winger, €7.3 million), Alen Stevanović (left winger, €300,000), Francesco Toldo (goalkeeper, retired), Rene Krhin (central midfielder, co-ownership deal worth €2.8 million), Mario Balotelli (striker, €30 million), Nicolás Burdisso (centre back, €8 million), reserve and academy team players, and those out on loan

Strengths: Strikers, with Samuel Eto’o, Diego Milito, Goran Pandev and David Suazo among others, Inter have arguably one of the best front lines in the world. Their centre backs are also good, with Lúcio, Wálter Samuel, Iván Córdoba, Marco Materazzi and Nelson Rivas making up the core.

Weaknesses: Left Backs, as Inter only really have Cristian Chivu to cover there. They do have other players and youngsters to fill in, however then the team might be short at other positions, and the youngsters’ inexperience could be a factor.

Projected Place: 1st

Overall: Inter Milan still have the same core from the team who won the Champions League and Serie A last season, and should put a tough challenge to win both again this year.
